The Royal Society of Chemistry "Liquid / Solid? Solid / Liquid?"
In a competition held by the Royal Society of Chemistry I was commissioned to produce a piece for the new reception area at their building in Picadilly, London.

With abstract imagery based on the chemical composition of glass itself (silica, soda and lime) the piece explores the long-running debate as to whether glass is in fact a super-cooled liquid or an amorphous solid. A digital PVB laminated interlayer is used and back-lit with an LED lightpad. The glass is housed in an handmade English oak lightbox to match the existing interior.
